With the coronavirus pandemic still devastating the worldwide community the Nativity House Shelter here in Tacoma is still dedicated to providing services to those in our local community who lack access to basic services such as food, housing, and safety. While our facility has altered how we help those experiencing homelessness due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still committed to our mission to treat and serve all person with respect an dignity. The Nativity House has instituted new policies and changes to adapt to these times, including moving food services outside the Day Shelter and restricting access to some of the Day Shelter's facilities out of concern for the safety of those who spend the night in the shelter. Additionally, sanitization procedures have been implemented to reduce and/or eliminate any possible spread on the virus on site. As we continue to adapt to the current situation, we are still asking the community for donations of clothes, food, and toiletries so that we can better serve the less fortunate in our community. Please contact the Shelter for any specific donation questions, and thank you for your continued support.
